Millionaire black men with a national audience of millions aren’t supposed to be political. In McCarthy’s eyes, and definitely in the eyes of the owners, they’ve been bought and paid for. It’s a vile metaphor, but it’s true.
I enthusiastically encourage others to peruse, edit and add to this list. I merely wanted to put some names and events out there so that we could see just how many great Americans deserve to be remembered for their acts of courage and love, and for their humanity against overwhelming odds.
America, let me tell you, you are the bastard child of white European colonialism, technical advantages and the violent rape and murder of two other cultures, one red, one black.
If you really, really want to put an end to racism in the United States, in your city, in your neighborhood, let’s all admit that there is a practical way to go about it. It isn’t a disconcerting mystery. It’s not something we need to agonize over for years. We can do it now.
Anyone with a calm pulse and apathetic demeanor right now is no less insane than Trump or is irresponsible beyond all reason.
Changing our Constitution is not as radical as it sounds, and we need to recognize that ours is in dire need of revisions. Other countries – modern, developed countries – have changed their constitutions for the better and are thriving today. Failing to do so in the United States is no longer an option.
Think of it as a right-to-work-for-America law, but for politicians: We don’t like you. That’s all we need. Buh-bye.
In fact, if you look at the entire Republican/Neoliberal Democrat policy platforms, you will find that they are almost entirely about diminishing the humanity of and reducing the economic and civic power of workers below the CEO and Ownership level.

The American economic model is that cities and regions should prostitute themselves – in a buyers’ market, no less – to get a few jobs, all in hopes that some semblance of past abundance will return to them.
Everyone is realizing that it doesn’t work – if it ever did – to ask our elected representatives to be decent, caring and compassionate. The shameless disregard of our politicians and their parties has sown seeds of discontent all across America.
There is no brutality, no unethical behavior, no vile proclamation that this administration will be shamed by. There is no LBJ in the White House. This government is shameless now and forever.
